takes the Hull Individual title!!
Lionel won the Hull Individual
Championship beating Hull’s Paul Taylor in a high class final
finishing the last leg on 100 (20,D20,D20).
In the qualifying heat he beat Dave
Ladley 3-1 in the final match and went through to the finals night
of the longest standing tournament in darts history. It has run from
1937 and never missed a year.
In the ¼ finals he beat Billy Taylor
3-0 and in the semis he beat Kev Mooney (last years winner) also
3-0. In one leg he hit an 18 dart 501 with scores of
100,60,100,100,100,41 finish. Lionel played
outstanding darts all night and thoroughly deserved the victory in
the first doubles board tournament he has ever entered! |
